WHATSAPP IS DOWN
As is vulgarly said, WhatsApp has crashed. It means that your service is not operational. You are going to notice it because nobody seems to write to you. But even more so because, when you try to send a message, you will see the icon of the waiting clock to output the content. Nothing moves. It neither enters nor leaves.
This is usually due to the application servers failing. Or because there is maintenance. Or because they are introducing important news and updates. However, in this case we have evidence that other Facebook apps and services are down as well. So the problem may be greater. Perhaps the app loads from the cache the last thing you saw on the Facebook social network. But don’t try to upload new content, post something, or strike up a conversation with a friend on Facebook Messenger. Nothing is operational. And this only indicates that the problem of Facebook and its infrastructure is serious and has spread.
UNABLE TO UPDATE NEWS ON INSTAGRAM
Something similar happens in the Instagram application. You will be able to enter and see the last photos you saw when you used the social network. But swiping down won’t bring up new photos and videos . And you will not be able to upload all the new Instagram Stories that your reference accounts have published. Again, Facebook’s servers are down, which means its tools aren’t working the way they should either.
TECHNICAL PROBLEMS OR AN ATTACK?
At the moment we can only wait before some kind of official statement. The details are that, within minutes of starting the errors in these applications, the Downdetector page already collected thousands of reports from users around the world. So it seems that the fall has been worldwide. Something that only shows that the problem is important and severe. But at the moment we do not have official information about it.

Facebook has confirmed the downfall of its infrastructure. They are aware and claim to be working to fix the issues as soon as possible. They have not indicated the reason for the fall. They apologize for the inconvenience caused.
