Unchanged, so far, remains the impossibility of binding two accounts to one phone, even if there is a technical possibility for this, that is, the smartphone supports the operation of two SIM-cards. And this flaw is very annoying for many users.

There were times when mobile phones could only work with one SIM card. With the massive development of cellular communications and the emergence of intense competition on the market of mobile operators, the possibility of using two SIM-cards on one device looked quite an expected step. But the WhatsApp developers did not take this into account – perhaps they were guided by security considerations … One way or another, even today, regardless of the type of smartphone, only one copy of the messenger can be installed on it. And if there are two SIM cards (and today even three-SIM models have appeared on sale), the owner of the phone will have to choose which number to link the application account to. Many operating systems, including Android, have elementary protection against uncontrolled duplication of information. It’s hard to keep track of duplicate user-generated content, of course, but when it comes to app installs, the OS’s capabilities are great. But some versions of the most common mobile operating system still allow you to install a second absolutely identical version of programs. True, this is done using a special function called “Cloning applications” (or “Clones of software”, sometimes you can find the text “Second space”).

Here is the algorithm for installing the second version of WhatsApp using the MIUI shell of the eighth version of Android:

go to the phone settings;
go to the “Applications” section;
we are looking for the sub-item “Cloning applications” that interests us, click it;
a list of software that can be cloned will appear. We find WhatsApp in it and activate the toggle switch, after which the installation of the second version of the messenger on your phone will begin.

As a result, a WhatsApp icon will appear on one of the desktops with the note that this is a duplicate of the application. We launch it and go through the standard registration procedure indicating the phone number of the second SIM card.

In order to install 2 WhatsApp on one phone, you need to follow these steps:

install Parallel Space on your phone;
launch the application;
select WhatsApp from the list of programs that can be cloned and click the “Add to ParallelSpace” button;
the cloning process will begin. After its completion, an icon of the duplicated messenger will appear;
in the same way, you can make a copy of any other application by clicking the plus sign in the middle.

Now you can close Parallel Space, look for the icon of the second copy of WhatsApp on the desktop, start the messenger and go through the standard registration procedure, specifying as the number for binding the one that belongs to the second SIM card.

How to put WhatsApp on two numbers through the OGWhatsApp app

This app is not listed on Google Play, so you need to take some additional steps to install it:

select the item “Security” in the smartphone settings;

This will allow you to install applications not downloaded from the official store. If you have done this before, then, of course, you no longer need to perform this procedure.

This is a completely legal and completely safe way to have two WhatsApps on one smartphone. The second will be the business version, which in terms of functionality does not differ from the usual messenger.

But at the same time, WhatsApp Business is considered a different application. All you need to do is download the program and bind to the second number during installation.
