However, you can skip this step and not enter an account. However, you should be aware that you cannot use direct Google services, but your data will still land on Google. Alternatives to Google Play
Of course, you can only use Google Play if you have a Google account. Without this, you cannot access the hundreds of thousands of apps. But there are alternatives. However, viruses or the like can be contained in these, so caution is advised here.
Alternative app shops such as the Amazon App Shop are safer . This is checked by Amazon and is accordingly very secure. Even if the selection is nowhere near as large as on Google Play, Amazon offers you an app for free every day.

Mail clients for Android
The Gmail client is really very well implemented, while the normal email app is limited to the basic things. The apps of the mail providers such as GMX, web.de, Yahoo and many more create abuses here. You can find the Yahoo Mail Client at Amazon, for example .
There are also apps that cover several providers. MyMail is available free of charge . However, we recommend the app from the mail provider directly, as this promises the highest security.

Bypass other Google services
There are also other applications that you should avoid using your smartphone. So there are still:
- Browser: By default, a normal browser and often Chrome is installed. Use Firefox or the Opera Mini Browser instead

You will not completely bypass Google on your Android device. Only a root can help. Laypersons who at least do not use all Google services or do not want to set up a Google account at all, are encouraged to consider the numerous alternatives.
