How to know that the parcel can be picked up
Absolutely all parcels from AliExpress can be tracked using a special track code sent by the seller after the goods are sent. If you have not received such a track code, you need to claim it by personally talking to the sender or by opening a dispute.
Regardless of the delivery method with tracking, there are usually no problems outside Russia, but inside the country this option often becomes unavailable or useless.
How to track your parcel on AliExpress:
- go to your personal account, having previously authorized;
- go to the “My orders” tab;
- select an order that is on the way;
- click on the “Check Tracking” button.
All shipment status records are accompanied by the date and number of the transaction (with time zone) and a short explanation. If there is nothing after the item “Arrived in the country of destination”, it may be worth using the official website of the transport company or the Russian Post, but most likely you will find out that the parcel is already in place by means of a notification (or SMS message).
If the package is small and fits in a mailbox, most likely there will be no notice, you just need to check it daily. Large parcels need to be picked up at the post office, in which case the notice will also be thrown into your mailbox.
If, when choosing a delivery method, you settled on courier services such as DHL or FedEx, then you will know that the parcel has arrived, having received a call from the local operator.
Shipping methods for parcels from AliExpress
Strictly speaking, the number of delivery methods is not constant, it depends both on the country and on the region within the country, over time, new transport companies may be added or old transport companies removed.
If we talk about our country, where they prefer to place orders for goods with free delivery, then in the overwhelming majority of cases, the Russian Post is engaged in delivery at the final stage.
If you choose a transport service with courier delivery, then the parcel will be delivered to the specified address, having previously agreed on the terms. Alternatively, you can pick it up by visiting your local office. Finally, the shipment can be picked up at the post office if the shipping company has the ability to do so.
What documents are needed to receive a parcel
Before picking up a parcel from AliExpress at the post office or at the office of the shipping company, make sure you bring with you an identity document from the following:
- passport of a resident of the Russian Federation;
- if it is lost – a temporary identity card;
- military ID;
- residence;
- if you are a temporarily displaced person – refugee certificate;
- for non-residents – a foreign passport.

Of course, the one whose name is indicated in the documents attached to the shipment will be able to pick up the parcel without any problems.
If for some reason he cannot appear at the department in person, other persons can do this on the basis of a power of attorney.
This document, drawn up exclusively in writing, is subject to mandatory notarization. In addition to the power of attorney, you must take with you any identity document listed above.
How long is the parcel kept at the post office
The rules regarding the storage time of parcels may differ from one transport company to another. The Russian Post has 15 days for storing parcels from abroad. If it is not picked up within this period, it will be sent back, in our case, to China.
But the fact is that the Chinese usually designate small goods weighing less than 2 kg not as a parcel, but are sent in the form of a small package, which, according to the current rules, can be stored in the post office for up to 30 days.
If the recipient is not able to pick up the shipment in due time, he or a trusted person can write a statement with a request to extend it (for a maximum of another month). Such a service is paid, the tariffs can be found on the website of the Russian Post.
If you accidentally confirmed receipt of the goods, but in fact not, you have 15 days to open a dispute. However, if the likelihood that the goods have simply not yet reached their final destination is high, it is better to extend the protection period of the parcel – we have already written how this is done.
How to receive a parcel from AliExpress in the mail
After receiving the notification, you should go to your post office, present your identity card and fill out a form indicating your full name and passport data, date and sign. After checking the data, the operator will give you a postal item.
You can print the notice and fill it out at home – in this case, you can save a few minutes at the post office. If, according to the track code, the parcel arrived at its destination, but you did not receive a notification to pick up the parcel by mail, just go to the software and provide the employee with your passport and track code number.
If, as a result of checking the contents of the shipment, you find a discrepancy (in weight, quantity), you need to immediately file a claim about the incompleteness of the attachment.
Note that filming the unpacking process on video is just done so that you have “iron” arguments when making a claim. The video you shoot should show your data, along with the track code, as well as any packaging defects found.
There is no delivery charge directly at the post office, but this applies to low-cost orders. If the cost of the shipment exceeds 500 euros, you will have to pay 30% of the value of the goods exceeding this limit.
How to get a parcel from AliExpress in Pyaterochka
If, when placing an order, you indicated the nearest Pyaterochka supermarket as a delivery method, when the goods arrive at the place, you will receive an SMS notification with a code and a request to pick up the goods within the allotted time.
You will need to come to the chain store and find a special cashier, where they sell elite tobacco and alcoholic products, popularly called “tobacco shop”. The issuance of prepaid postal items is also carried out here.
To receive goods from AliExpress in Pyaterochka, you will need to tell the cashier your code from an SMS message and present your passport, and in a couple of minutes the parcel or parcel will be in your hands. Checkout counters for delivering parcels work in the same way as the supermarket itself.
You can also receive an order from AliExpress in the post office, if there is one in the store. It is even more convenient, since here you only need to specify the track number and code from the SMS message, without presenting identity documents.
How to confirm on AliExpress that you have received your parcel
If you have received the goods in order for the seller to receive the money, you must confirm that you have already collected it. This can be done both on the website of the trading platform and in the mobile application.
To do this, you need to log into your account, select an order and click the “Confirm receipt” button. A pop-up window will appear with information about the possibility of opening a dispute within 15 days from the date of confirmation, if the goods are of poor quality.
Then you will be asked to assess the quality of service and purchased goods on a five-point scale. If the order includes several commodity items, an assessment can be given for each of them with the possibility of leaving a review and attaching photos, in an amount of no more than 5.
Remember that a seller rating is formed based on customer reviews and ratings, so your actions should be as objective as possible.
What to do if your package is not received from AliExpress
If during the unpacking of the parcel you find that the goods arrived is damaged or does not correspond to the description, you can inform the seller about this, and if he does not respond adequately, you can open a dispute.
But what if the package never arrived? If, according to the track code, it has already arrived in the country of destination, we advise you to wait a few more weeks, asking the seller to extend the buyer’s protection period if it expires.
Open a dispute 3-5 days before the expiration of the extended period for a refund. If the seller refuses to extend the protection period under various pretexts, do not hesitate to open a dispute either.
As you can see, in most cases, in order to pick up a parcel from AliExpress, you will need standard steps, especially if it has to arrive at the PR department.
