With the update to Android Q you get some new functions for your device. Google is introducing a dark mode under Android Q , which will be available system-wide and can also be used for third-party apps. Android Q also improves gesture control, which is now done via a white bar at the bottom of the screen. In addition, available system updates are carried out automatically on Android-Q devices and no longer require a restart.
Android Q: These devices get the update
Even if Android Q has not yet been released, some manufacturers already know that devices will get an update to Android Q. The first smartphones to receive the update include the following models in addition to the in-house Google Pixel devices:
- While the beta version of Android Q is currently available for the Huawei Mate 20 Pro, the other devices of the Huawei Mate 10 and 20 series as well as the P30 models and the Huawei P Smart will also receive an update.
- OnePlus smartphone users receive the Android Q update if they have a OnePlus 5 or later.
- An update for the new Samsung Galaxy S10 models as well as for the Samsung Galaxy S9 and S9 Plus has also already been confirmed.
- The following smartphones receive the Android Q update from the mobile phone manufacturer Motorola: the Motorola Moto G7 series, Motorola One and Motorola One Vision.
