Pokémon – this is how it works on Android
Most Pokémon games are designed for the Gameboy and Nintendo and are not available for use on an Android device. However, free emulators such as the RetroArch emulator make it possible to install classic Pokémon games.
- To do this, first download the RetroArch app from the Play Store and install it on your smartphone.
- Then open the app and tap “Online Updater” twice and then “Core Updater” twice to select either “VBA-Next” or “DeSmuME” as the emulator core.
- To start the Pokémon game, please navigate to “Load Content”> “Select File”> “Internal Memory” in the main RetroArch window and select the game’s ROM file.
