Huawei: That’s what NFC means
NFC is the abbreviation for Near Field Communication and describes a radio standard for wireless data transmission. NFC technology is mainly used for payment processes, but also for data exchange between devices such as smartphones and tablets. NFC enables you to pay for your purchases at the checkout contactlessly using your smartphone or a card by holding the device or card close to the reader of the checkout.
How to check if your Huawei smartphone has an NFC chip
To use NFC technology, however, it is necessary that you have a smartphone with an integrated NFC chip. If you have a Huawei brand device , you can check if it has NFC by opening the device’s quick start guide.
- To do this, swipe down from the top of the home screen and look for the NFC icon in the quick start guide.
- If you want to use the NFC function to pay, simply tap the NFC symbol to activate the function.
- If you do not need the NFC function at the moment, it is advisable to switch it off. To do this, please tap the NFC icon again to deactivate the function.
