If you don’t have a printer to fill out the special travel certificate on PDF, you can use your smartphone, iOS or Android, and a free application. The latter makes it possible to complete the certificate and thus to be able to travel for the reasons authorized during the confinement period, without the risk of being fined for an offense.
Monday March 16, 2020 at 8 p.m., the President of the Republic presented new measures to fight the spread of the coronavirus (Covid-19). Among these measures, the most important on a daily basis is the confinement of the population for a minimum of 15 days . The practical details of this measure have been specified on the website of the Ministry of the Interior. We have already published in our columns an article on how to download the compulsory attestation of displacement related to coronavirus containment .
This certificate, which you can download from the Ministère’s website (or see at the end of this article), is necessary if you must travel during the confinement period. On this document is a declaration on honor which affirms that you leave your home for one of the reasons allowing to derogate from the obligation . You must also tick the reason. A date and signature are also required. Without this document, you risk a fine of 38 euros (amount which will increase in the coming days to 135 euros).

How to complete the certificate with a smartphone?
Only, fewer and fewer households are able to produce this document in paper format. But be aware that it is entirely possible to use it entirely dematerialized . To do this, all you need is a smartphone (or a tablet) and an application: Acrobat Reader. Here’s how:
1. Download Acrobat Reader from the App Store or Play Store . The application is free (and will always be useful if you have PDF documents to store or modify).
2. Download the blank template of the derogatory displacement certificate on the website of the Ministry of the Interior. You can choose to store it in your phone memory or import it directly into the Acrobat application. In the first case, you will have to search for the PDF downloaded with “File Manager” in Android or “Files” in iOS.

3. By opening the form with Acrobat, select the tool to fill out and sign the certificate . Fill in the fields according to your situation and sign it. Remember to save the document so that it is accessible if you are checked.
4. Note that the form is not blocked. All the fields, except the signature, can be modified afterwards . This means that you can reuse it depending on the situation (today for shopping, tomorrow for going to a doctor) and the date.
