Honor returns to Spain, and it does so with the Honor 50 , a mobile that we talked about recently and arrives to compete strongly in the premium mid-range. This phone has been launched in conjunction with the Honor 50 Lite, a device with lower features, but which is also part of the current mid-range. While both are aimed at the same segment, they come with notable differences in terms of features, technical specifications, and pricing, which we detail in more detail below.
The prices indicated in the article could vary over time, so, from tuexperto.com, we limit ourselves to analyzing the differences as of the publication date.

FROM THE SAME SERIES, BUT WITH TOTALLY DIFFERENT DESIGNS AND SCREENS
The first thing to highlight of both mobiles is the null similarity they have on an aesthetic level. And it seems that the Chinese manufacturer has not wanted to match them much, or nothing, rather, because we are facing two phones that do not share the same design both on the back and on the front.
In this sense, in the Honor 50 we have a camera module in a different position and with an organization of sensors that is also totally different from that of the Honor 50 Lite, the first being more premium in every aspect, with a screen with fewer bezels and curved side edges that help make it look like a full-blown high-end.
For its part , the Honor 50 Lite is more like a typical mid-range , although it also imitates the camera system of the Huawei Mate 40 and takes advantage of the screen very well because the bezels that hold it are quite small.
As for the screens, that of the Honor 50 is OLED technology, measures 6.57 inches, has a FullHD + resolution of 2,400 x 1,080 pixels, has a refresh rate of 120 Hz and comes with an integrated fingerprint reader. The one in the Honor 50 Lite, curiously, is larger, with a size of 6.67 inches. However, the panel of this mobile is IPS LCD, has a rate of 60 Hz and produces a FullHD + resolution of 2,376 x 1,080 pixels, in addition to not having a fingerprint sensor underneath, since that of this device is located on the right side .
DIFFERENT PERFORMANCE FOR EACH MOBILE FROM QUALCOMM
Honor has opted for Qualcomm to provide both phones with good performance processor chipsets, although in this section there are big differences, since the Snapdragon 778G from 6 nm to 2.4 GHz , one of the most advanced processors and with the best performance within the range. Average currently, it is aimed at the Honor 50, while the Honor 50 Lite has the Snapdragon 662, a piece of 11 nm at 2.0 GHz of clock frequency that shows considerably lower in terms of power. In this regard, the Honor 50 offers superior performance.
Now, with regard to RAM and internal storage space, the two phones come with 6 or 8 GB RAM and 128 GB of internal memory , with an extra 256 GB variant available only in the Honor 50.
QUAD CAMERAS FOR BOTH, BUT WITH DIFFERENT CONFIGURATIONS
The Honor 50 has a 108-megapixel resolution main camera , which is part of a quad module that also consists of an 8-megapixel wide-angle lens and two 2-megapixel macro and bokeh sensors. For its part, the Lite version has a lower main shooter that is 64 megapixels, although, as far as the other sensors are concerned, it has the same wide angle, macro and bokeh of the Honor 50.
As for the selfie camera, the first has a 32 megapixel sensor and the second one with 16 megapixels.
66W FAST-CHARGING BATTERIES, GOOGLE SERVICES AND OTHER FEATURES
One of the things that this pair of mobiles share has to do with the battery, which in both cases is 4,300 mAh and compatible with fast charging of 66 W. Of course, 5G connectivity is only available in the Honor 50 , at the same as Wi-Fi 6 and Bluetooth 5.2, while in the Lite these options are inferior. However, the latter is the only one that comes with a 3.5mm headphone jack input.
For the rest, they come with Android 11 under Magic UI 4.2 with Google Services and a weight difference that favors the Honor 50, being 17 grams lighter than the Honor 50 Lite.
PRICES, CONCLUSIONS AND OPINION: WHICH IS BETTER IN 2021, THE HONOR 50 OR 50 LITE?
The Honor 50 has a base price of 530 euros for the 6 + 128 GB variant and 600 euros for the 8 + 256 GB variant. The Honor 50 Lite, on the other hand, is cheaper, having more shortened specifications and having a price that starts from 300 euros officially.
Regardless of prices, the Honor 50 is the clear winner of this comparison and the best mobile to buy , both for its 120 Hz screen and processor and for its camera and connectivity options such as 5G and Wi-Fi 6. However, it is almost twice as expensive as the Honor 50 Lite, making the latter a better value for money option for most pockets. So it all comes down to the budget you have and the requirements at the hardware level on each mobile.
