If there is one thing that companies have not yet solved in mobile phones, it is stabilization. Although brands such as Apple or vivo show some interest in designing lens stabilization systems, the truth is that most devices on the market lack this type of add-ons. This is why we are forced to resort to external tools such as tripods, sticks selfies or gimbals , also known as stabilizers.
The problem occurs precisely in the price of this type of instrument, since most tend to exceed 100 euros starting. Hohem has presented a device that, in addition to combining all these elements, democratizes your access by having a starting price of less than 40 euros . We are talking about the iSteady Q, a kind of selfie stick convertible with an automatic balance system that also incorporates adjustable tripod functions and remote control through the integrated Bluetooth connection.

FOUR ACCESSORIES IN ONE: SELFIE STICK, GIMBAL, TRIPOD OR TRACKING CAMERA
Hohem’s new iSteady Q is presented as a device whose design combines the benefits of selfie sticks, tripods, tracking cameras and mechanical stabilizers. Specialized in the design and manufacture of gimbals , the company has transferred the technology of its stabilizers to the iSteady Q, combining hardware functions with software functions through the application developed by the same company and which we will talk about later.
Regarding the functions of the device, the extendable design of the arm allows us to extend the extension of the support to perform the functions of a selfie stick. On the other hand, the phone’s grip system is compatible with both a horizontal and a vertical grip , in such a way that we can record videos both in landscape and standing. This is due to its compatibility with mobile phones of a multitude of sizes, up to 1.1 centimeters thick and weighing up to 280 grams.
If we choose not to deploy the extendable arm, the iSteady Q will act as a gimbal by having a wireless remote controllable from the hand itself. This remote is connected to the mobile phone via Bluetooth to take advantage of the different remote control functions of the stabilizer , not to mention the possibility of moving and rotating the mechanical arm of the support by means of the physical buttons that it integrates into the chassis. In fact, we can remove the control from the chassis to control the remote arm in a range of approximately 10 meters.
Finally, the design of the base has three folding legs to install the device on the ground , resembling its shape to that of a conventional tripod. By having face tracking and analysis functions, the tripod will rotate based on our movements in a dispersion range of 360º. In this way, we can make panning and camera sweeps stabilizing the scenes.
ONE ARM THAT ROTATES ON TWO AXES FOR PROFESSIONAL PHOTOS AND VIDEOS
Hohem’s rotation technology comes to the iSteady Q in the form of motors that allow us to rotate the arm automatically depending on the needs of the scene. On the one hand, the arm is able to rotate on its vertical axis to make a 360º course , as we have mentioned in the previous paragraph. The result is fully stabilized scenes thanks to the rotation motor that already integrates the tracking technology through the Hohem Joy application, which is available completely free of charge.
Another possibility that the Hohem arm offers us is related to the angle of rotation on the base to perform horizontal sweeps. The company ensures that we can obtain a dispersion range of 300º , so we can pan the ground and the sky as if it were a drone . Thanks to its 460 mAh battery, we will get an estimated use time of 3 hours. Charging, by the way, is done through a USB type C connection.
HOHEM JOY, THE APPLICATION THAT COMPLETES THE FUNCTIONS OF THE ISTEADY Q
The icing on the cake is put by the Hohem Joy application, developed specifically for the brand’s devices. The application in question allows us to play with the zoom of the camera , applying Dolly Zoom effects and progressive magnification. It also allows us to clone people without resorting to a professional video editor, in addition to making time-lapse videos or automatic rotations depending on the context.
All this thanks to the face detection system that it incorporates and that allows automating certain actions, such as sweeping scenes or centering objectives, placing the person in the center of the scene . On the other hand, the control knob that incorporates the arm allows us to switch between front camera and rear camera with the press of a button.
LESS THAN 40 EUROS AND WITH A GIFT LUMINOUS RING
That’s how it is. Hohem’s new iSteady Q is now available on Aliexpress for a single price of 38.42 euros in two variants in black and white. It should be noted that its starting price is 85 euros, so the final discount leaves us with a discount of 55%.
In addition, a luminous ring with LED lighting is included with the purchase of the arm, which is available only while stocks last.
